During the Fair Park First community event, we teamed up with The Walls Project to host a kid-friendly pop-up mural. Families and children helped paint our “Welcome to South Dallas” banner, turning it into a vibrant display of neighborhood pride and creativity.
Pop-Up Community Mural: Welcome to South Dallas
At the Fair Park First community event, we partnered with The Walls Project to host a family-friendly pop-up mural experience designed to engage kids and celebrate local pride. Centered around a “Welcome to South Dallas” banner, the interactive mural invited young artists and families to pick up a brush and leave their mark. Throughout the day, dozens of kids stopped to help paint, turning the banner into a colorful expression of community spirit and creativity. It was a joyful, hands-on celebration of South Dallas—and a reminder that everyone, no matter their age, can help shape the story of their neighborhood.
